Details: 1999 Dark Blue Pearl Saturn SC2 153,xxx Original miles. 1.9L automatic transmission. Engine has been fully rebuilt to OEM specifications and rebuilt transmission with 70K miles. Since rebuilding the engine, it has been driven 1000 miles to ensure a proper break-in and fine tuning. I started the rebuild mid December and unfortunately I am forced to sell early due to a possible relocation and an angry wife. First and foremost this car was NOT a junkyard or totaled car. It was purchased locally from a private owner that could not figure out a transmission problem. I originally purchased this car for spare parts on my other saturn I drive daily. After a quick inspection of this vehicle I found a faulty line pressure actuator and decided to rebuild this car only with the intention to sell instead of scrapping. These are great fuel effient cars that have been known to go 300K+miles. I have personally invested roughly $2,000 dollars and 230+hours of labor. There has been no aftermarket performance parts or temporary fixes to this vehicle. I have over 15 years of automotive experience, 12 of which are professionaly employed. I am a 31 year old motivate male that loves working on cars in my spare time, To prove the validity of work I can provide receipts and pictures of work performed. Also upon request I can provide references documenting the quality of my work. The sale of this car only suppliments my income, with that being said, it does not mean I sacrifice quality or workmanship. This is not the first rebuild with intention to sell I have done, nor my last. My most recent rebuilt was a honda civic that sold on craigslist within 20 minutes of listing and over 25 phone calls the first night. The owner drove the vehicle all the way to Montana and called me two days later with no issues. I only rebuild fuel efficent cars and with the increasing gas prices expected to hit 5 dollars a gallon this summer there´s definitely a demand for these types of vehicles. With that being said I am not desperate to sell, willing to accept payments, lowball offers, or consider trades. This will be a cash only, first come first serve sale. Below lists the repairs performed.Rebuilt engine includes brand NEW: Pistons, wrist pins, rings, crankshaft and rod bearings. Front and real main seals. Head, valve cover, Oil pan, water pump, Intake, exhaust manifold, muffler, catalyst, EGR, and throttlebody gaskets. Block was machined and hot tanked to remove residual oil and grit from machining Other brand NEW parts:Battery, Ignition Coil Module, Coil packs(both), Spark plugs and Wires, Water pump and thermostat w/ serpentine belt. Transmission Valve Body w/solenoids & gasket. Transaxle connector wiring harness, Upper,lower and overflow coolant hoses, exhaust flex pipe and muffler hanger bracket. New Transmission filter, Air filter, oil filter, Fuel filter. PCV and hoses, vacumm lines, Idle Air control valve, Throttle position sensor, Crankshaft position sensor. Engine coolant temperature sensor, Transmission temperature sensor, fuel pressure regulator, evaporative emission purge valve solenoid, floor mats, head and tail light bulbs. Tires, Rotors and brake pads. New wiperblades. MP3/USB CD player, front and rear speakers. Reconditioned parts:Carpet flooring, head and fog lights, hubcaps, Painted fireall and strut towers. All fluids flushed and filled:Oil, Transmission, coolant, powersteering, brake and windshield washer. Engine compression prior to rebuild: 205 PSI across all cylinders. Engine compression after rebuild: 190 PSI across all cylinders. **NOTE** engine isnt fully brokein untill 2000 miles. As engine wears normally rings will seat better and increase compression. Car runs at perfect Idle, no misfire, no codes. This car requires no additional maintenance. Engine bay is spotless and free of leaks. The engine is 100% complete and ready for another 150K+miles with regular servicing. Due to my a pending relocation I cannot afford the time to finsh the last remaining tasks that are not required to keep the car in excellent running condition. Therefore, I have adjusted the price accordlingly.I accidently left the headboard outside on a rainy night and couldnt reinstall due to the cardboard being water damaged. There for it is missing and I didnt have time to find a replacement. The sunroofmotor works but the track needs minor repair to be fully functioning. A/C system works but needs a recharge in order to kick on the compressor. I have bypassed this and jumped the wires to see if the A/C clutch works and it does. Two body panels were replaced(bumper and rear quarterpanel) but were´nt the same color. They have been sanded down and have several coats of primer already sprayed and sanded.
