This car was owned by a grad student at porter and chester who i bought it from and have the title from his name to me with bill of sale and everything but i never registered. It was an impulse by and i am looking for someone who will appreciate the car and drive it. THe car has 122k miles on it and engine runs good. The car is standard with manuel windows and locks. The car has a red cold air intake, a custom spoiler, resonator and exhaust tip that makes it sound good. The interior has custom firey panels, grant steering wheel, carbon fiber faces on gauges, and custom gauges, the car has a nice system which includes a 7.5 inch pop up dvd player radio along with an alpine amp and 10 inch woofer box, along with 150 twitters. The car also has a red neon cab light and only a neon light in gauges.The car has 17 in low profile tires , the front tires are new with No miles on them. The engine is a 1900 cc twin cam four cylinder engine which gets 30 miles per gallon. The car comes with red neon underglow, blue halo headlights, and rare clear fog lights which all need to be installed.THE BAD: The car has been sitting for awhile, but interior is clean and there are hardly any scratches of paint and chips besides a few on back bumper, the car will also need a jump start because it has been sitting not sure if battery will need to be replaced but it does need struts which are a 150 dollars. I´ll do my best to tell you everything that is wrong (and right) with the car. Here is what I know.Collision with a deer: In the spring of 2009 I hit a deer. It broke the windshield and did minor damage to the body. I drove the car from the scene and had the windshield replaced. I put a front quarter panel on from a parts car (now it has a pin stripe). Several non-mechanical issues resulted from the deer collision: • The roof occasionally leaks-this caused the ceiling fabric to release-see picture.• There are some dents on the hood and roof.-It has 3 hub caps/wheel covers-The AC no longer works-it died slowly-The car slowly uses oil (about 1quart between changes) -There were some problems with rotors warping faster than normal. Lubrication of the calipers seems to have resolved the problem.-The seal on the drivers and passenger doors occasionally drips in heavy rain if the conditions are right.-In 2011 an ignition wire shorted out. Rather than spend hours looking for the short, the mechanics ran a fused jumper wire from the fuse box. It seems to be working out just fine.-Currently registered and inspected-Gas mileage is usually around 35mpg-No indicator lights (check engine, ect. . .) are on, or have been on.-Front tires have about 5k miles on them, back tires will need to be replaced to pass inspection.-Our dogs did ride in the car-We are non-smokers. I am the 3rd owner of this Vue with the previous owner owning it from 40,000 miles and used it to commute with as did I.The Vue has 171,500 highway miles as the previous owner stated that she commuted from Orangeburgh, NJ to Rutherford daily and what I purchased it for is to commute from Cairo, NY to Pittsfield, MA. I bought it wtih 151,000 miles and put 20,000 miles on it in 8 months. I took it off the road in November when I purchased a newer SUV and had it on craigslist and took it off due to a repair that was needed on the shift linkage.I just got it back from the mechanic who gave it a clean bill of health, the linkage needed to be greased up as the shifter was getting sticky and that is all taken care of, it also has new tires, brakes, passenger wheel bearing, and a complete tune up at 165,000 miles which included spark plugs and serpentine belt. This thing runs so smooth you can barely feel it idle. Priced well below the Kelly blue book value almost $1000 under good condition value as the only thing this Vue needs is a driver side wheel bearing. I took extra money off for high mileage also.
