Details: I´m looking to sell my gold 2001 Saturn SL1. It has 120,200mi on it and runs pretty well. About a grand was recently spent on emissions repair and has passed inspection (sticker good until 2013). One thing fixed was the installation of a new fuel regulator, which was incorrectly set for this car, because it bucks when the car is shifting down. Some service does need to be done, but otherwise it is a great a first car and has held together through the years. I also just got some new seat covers and good year floor mats, and did an extensive cleaning, so that parts taken care of! Details: I have a 1994 Saturn SL1 Sedan with 4 doors. please read through. I recently put in a new water pump, belts, serpentine belt, starter, battery and tires. Winter was coming and i wanted something better for the snow, and this year of course we had minimal snow in comparison. I got a new car, so the Saturn has been sitting over the winter. It was run every so often , as you are suppose to when a car sits. After replacing all the different parts i was able to have it running just fine. The problems really came out of know where when i bumped a switch near the fuse box with my knee. Later i found out it was an after market alarm that was installed.I can repair a car but i do not know much about the electronics of the security. I actually attempted to remove the wires and the switch. Not sure if it caused me more trouble. Since after bumping it many unknowns presented themselves i am not sure if disconnecting caused more troubles . I am not savvy enough to figure out which wires are still connected. It is an electronics situation. Yes, the car will run. I am able to get it running. Yet. something must still be hooked up, and probably to the battery. What has happen is while driving the car the security devices would suddenly kick in. The car would seize itself and the lights would begin flashing as if the alarm was tripped. After disconnecting the battery and fiddling with an after market switch near the fuse box your able to get it to work correctly. Ultimately if the alarm is removed the car should run fine. Also it does have the new parts.Two things are a necessary are: one a tune up, and two the brake pads need to be changed. I have the title, and would be willing to part with it for $550, (or B/O) feel free to reach out and try me. and honestly i hope someone will be able to take advantage of the situation and fix the wires and have a working car. I just would like to reap back a few dollars for the corrections i made before buying the new vehicle , and bumping that switch. I will be happy to answer any questions. If you purchase it i will be more then happy to give you the run down on the vehicle. I also would love to hear back how you actually finally remove it. It should not be too difficult, i was going to have a buddy do it, but i got the new vehicle, and he moved. So I ranked the car as FAIR two stars on Kelley Blue Book. At fair the vehicle is valued for person to sell it at $970. After the security is repaired and it is showered and vacuumed it could be considered Good which fetches $1195.P.s. If you have any ideas or clue on how to remedy the situation but are not interested in spending either the time or money i would be happy to recieve an E-mail from you with some advice.. THanks Have a Great day. P.s.s. The black in the photos was used to kill the bees that had gone in there. There are now no bees. My little brother thought he was using a spray and it turned out to be spray paint. I am looking into a thinner or somehting to remove it.
