Details: I have a 2004 Saturn Ion. It has 198xxx miles on it. Recently had top end rebuilt, replaced water pump, aux chain, all top end parts ext. Brakes are a little over a month old. Ran strong since I had everything redone. But a couple days ago I believe the computer has a shorted out. It wont crank or run. 99% sure its the computer. Minimum body damage except for back passenger side quarter panel. I backed into a small tree so the only thing wrong with it is a broken tail lamp and cracks in the panel around the lamp. Just havent gotten around to fixing that. Im asking 1500 obo. Once the computer is replaced this car will make a great everyday driver as that is what it was for me. Serious interest only please. Details: I need to get rid of my 1998 Saturn SL1. It has a clean title but has some mechanical and cosmetic issues. I am asking 1200 OBO. Even to just buy this for parts (many of which are newer than the car) it is a pretty good deal, as many of the car parts correspond to Saturn SL1s from 1991 to 2002. It has about 130K miles, is a 4-door sedan, has an automatic transmission, cd player, dual air bags, and FWD.This car now needs to be jump started to run, because it has been sitting in the driveway about 8 months, but it got me back and forth to Florida twice last year. It has a single cd stereo system. I also installed an AUX out connection, for hooking up an iPod, Droid, etc. A couple years back it had some issues with the water pump and seals, and was leaking out coolant. We replaced them, and they were working fine until the last month I drove it, when the issue came up again, and I put in some radiator pellets. That seemed to work, but the last time I drove it it was overheating when stopped, although it was not leaking water. I just don´t have time to flush out the system or mess with this or the battery right now.I have gotten MANY parts for this car, and can provide receipts for everything except the ignition cylinder. Some of them are still under limited warranty. I replaced the starter (8/20/10, lifetime limited warranty), ignition cylinder (2/10/11), battery (10/23/08), ignition wires (8/20/09, limited lifetime replacement), spark plugs (8/20/09, 5 year replacement if defective), water pump and seals (8/20/09, limited lifetime replacement), engine belt (8/20/09), air filter (8/20/09), and all four tires (11/08/09, 55,000 mile limited warranty) which still have plenty of life left in them, as I have not been driving the car. I have also been timely on all oil changes.I was the second owner of this car, and the car has a clear title. Cosmetically, the car is missing the interior lining of the top. There are some stains in the trunk from various auto fluids spilling. There are numerous surface scratches, but no DEEP scratches that are noticeable from far away. The passenger door does not unlock from the outside, and there is a separate key for the door and the ignition column, as the ignition column had to be changed out. Granted, she´s no Ferrari, but despite the numerous repairs, this car has been good to me, and it makes me sad to see her sitting in the driveway wasting away.
