Details: This is a ´95 Saturn SL 4DR 5 SPD Tags/Reg thru May, 2013. Excellent Gas Mileage: about 200 miles on a full tank of gas! Beautiful forest green color with a beige interior and it has Zovak all season tires (the best ones out there) with NO visible tread wear on them. It has a sporty look to it and it is incredibly comfortable to drive and to ride in. My son is a pretty big guy and he said it has a lot of leg room for him. OK; so here´s the reason I have to sell it: I bought it in October last year from a guy who said he had rebuilt the top end of the motor plus it has a new battery and the tags and all of that. These were the kind of things I needed because I am a retired and disabled widow raising an adult disabled son. I believed this guy when he said that this car would last me for years to come without needing more than upkeep maintenance. Well, I drove it for 3 months when I noticed some shifting difficulties. It was like the gears were not in the right place when I went to shift. I came home from the doctors and parked it and have not driven it since. I had a friend of mine look at it and drive it because he is a real good mechanic and he told me that the guy messed up when he rebuilt the top end. There is a compression problem. He also said that the clutch needs to be replaced soon, the catalytic converter has just started that once in awhile stinky thing. It was happening probably once a month or so. There is one other thing; it is missing the button on the E Brake that locks it in place when you pull it up. The guy I bought it from had told me that he was going to get one from a junk yard and come and put it in but he never did. I bought a wheel chock and just stick it under there when I pull the brake up ( I tried several different things and this worked the best) . Well, there it is. I know someone who has the know how can fix it right up and have a great car for a long time to come. My mechanic friend said it wasn´t a huge job to fix it but he figures around $800.00 not counting labor but that is just his estimate & he has not opened it up. He has looked at it and driven it though. Well, I spent $1900.00 on this car and it was everything I had saved for quite some time so there´s no way I can afford to fix it. I truly wish I could. I am hoping that the right person will come and make a great car out of it for personal use, someone they love or even to sell it and make a profit. The reason I am asking for $700.00 is because that is the amount I have to have to get my items out of the pawn shop. I am having to pay the interest every month and it just makes everything harder for me and the money from the Saturn is the only way I am going to be able to afford to pay it off and be done with it.
